Creating a User and Granting Permissions Use IAM to implement fine-grained permissions control for your Direct Connect resources. With IAM, you can: Create IAM users for employees based on the organizational structure of your enterprise.
IAM is a global service. You can create an IAM user using the endpoint of IAM in any region.
Identity Authentication and Access Control Identity Authentication You can use Identity and Access Management (IAM) to control access to your Direct Connect resources. IAM permissions define which actions on your cloud resources are allowed or denied.
In this scenario, you can create IAM users for the software developers and grant them only the required permissions. Skip this part if your account does not require individual IAM users for permissions management. IAM is a free service.
