  • What's PCI 3DS certification?

    Europay, Mastercard, and Visa (EMV) Three-Domain Secure (3DS) is a messaging protocol developed by EMVCo to enable consumers to authenticate themselves with their card issuer when making card-not-present (CNP) e-commerce purchases. The additional security layer helps prevent unauthorized CNP transactions and protects the merchant from CNP exposure to fraud.


    The PCI 3DS Core Security Standard defines physical and logical security requirements for protecting the environments of 3DS data and entities that perform or provide specific 3DS functions, namely 3DS Server (3DSS), 3DS Directory Server (DS), or 3DS Access Control Server (ACS) functions. The standard also defines security requirements for components that are used in, or connected to the environments, including firewalls, virtual servers, network devices, and applications; and for processes and personnel management within these environments.

  • What's the relationship between PCI 3DS certification and PDC DSS certification?

    PCI 3DS and PCI DSS are different standards targeting different types of entities. The PCI 3DS Core Security Standard applies to 3DS environments where 3DSS, ACS, and/or DS functions are performed, while PCI DSS applies wherever payment card account data is stored, processed or transmitted.

  • Can my organization become PCI 3DS-certified automatically by using Huawei Cloud?

    Although Huawei Cloud has earned PCI 3DS certification and provides you with secure and reliable cloud services on this basis, using services provided by Huawei Cloud does not certify your organization's compliance with PCI 3DS. PCI 3DS certification requires us to establish, implement, maintain, and continuously improve information security controls within our organizations based on the PCI 3DS standards and best practices released. To have your organization certified by PCI 3DS, you can invite an independent third-party certifying body.
