Why Huawei Cloud EVS?

A Range of Disk Options

Choose from EVS disks with Extreme SSD, General Purpose SSD V2, General Purpose SSD, or Ultra-high I/O for high-performance computing workloads or critical databases.

Elastic Scalability

You can increase block storage space even if the disk is currently in use. System disks can be scaled up to 1 TiB and data disks up to 32 TiB, and you can even change the disk type to one with higher specifications if needed.

Robust Security and Availability

Three copies of data ensure 99.9999999% durability and eliminate data loss caused by hardware faults. Data on EVS disks can be encrypted for improved security.

Backup and Restore

Create online automatic backups or snapshots for your EVS disks, so if data is ever lost or damaged, you can use a backup or snapshot to create new EVS disks or restore a disk to a previous state.

EVS Recycle Bin

If the recycle bin is enabled, EVS disks that you unsubscribe from or delete by mistake will be moved to the recycle bin automatically. Disks will be retained in the recycle bin for seven days. You can permanently delete or restore recycle bin disks at any time.

Data Sharing

A shared EVS disk is a block storage device that can be attached to multiple cloud servers and allows for concurrent access from the servers. Such high performance disks provide excellent reliability for a wide variety of applications, especially mission-critical enterprise applications that require cluster and HA capabilities.

NoSQL/Relational Databases

Extreme SSD, General Purpose SSD V2, and Ultra-high I/O EVS disks are excellent for read/write-intensive databases and data warehouses like SQL Server, MySQL, RAC, and SAP HANA.
