Huawei Cloud remains committed to harnessing the power of technology to foster sustainable development in the region. Aka Dai, Director of Huawei Cloud Marketing, shared the company's local practices in this regard. In the area of environmental conservation, the sound monitoring system Nature Guardian – jointly developed by Rainforest Connection (RFCx) and Huawei Cloud – has been deployed in the tropical rainforests of Palawan. By collecting sound data and analyzing it using AI, the system identifies potential threats such as illegal logging and poaching, thereby protecting endangered species and maintaining ecological balance. In the realm of financial inclusion, Huawei Cloud has assisted UnionDigital, a digital subsidiary of Unionbank, in creating agile and innovative digital services. Notably, it took just 35 days to launch its core loan system, significantly accelerating the delivery of financial services to millions of local users.
