Kevin Gao, President of Huawei Cloud Public Cloud Business, presented a keynote speech "One Step to Intelligence, One Leap to Excellence" on the importance of AI and cloud infrastructure for enterprises seeking a competitive edge. "Cloud has become a must for AI infrastructure, and those who make better use of AI will take the lead," Mr. Gao emphasized. He outlined three critical factors for accelerating cloud migration and AI use: global infrastructure, continuous technological innovation, and lean operations.
Kevin Gao, President of Huawei Public Cloud Business
In terms of global infrastructure, Huawei Cloud's global infrastructure, KooVerse, offers extensive coverage, exceptional experience, and excellent quality.
· Extensive coverage: With 33 Regions and 93 Availability Zones (AZs) worldwide, Huawei Cloud supports over 10,000 customers in achieving business globalization. In China, three Cloud Oceans in Guizhou, Inner Mongolia, and Anhui cater to the compute demands of AI model training and inference.
· Exceptional experience: Huawei Cloud has interconnected with over 2,400 peers of global carriers, ensuring one hop to cloud and global business deployment for customers.
· Excellent quality: Huawei Cloud data centers are built to higher standards, with all-digital detection and full-link visibility technologies, achieving Tier IV reliability based on the Tier III data center architecture.
Technological innovation is at the heart of Huawei Cloud's mission to accelerate enterprise transformation. At this summit, three key areas were highlighted: compute upgrade, data-AI convergence, and application innovation.
The Data Center-to-Cloud solution announced at the event dedicates a zone for enterprises, offering data center facilities, intelligent O&M, and DCN as a service, allowing customers to easily relocate and run dedicated compute resources on Huawei Cloud.
As AI models scale to over 1 trillion parameters, the long-term stability, fast recovery, and linear scalability of AI compute clusters are crucial for training efficiency. Huawei Cloud's Ascend AI Cloud Service enables training jobs to run non-stop up to 40 days, shortens the fault recovery time to 10 minutes, and increases the linear scalability to 90% (the industry average are 2.8 days, 60 minutes, and 80%, respectively). The service has adapted over 100 popular AI models and is utilized in more than 400 use cases, such as intelligent Q&A and exact search.
DataArts Fabric, Huawei Cloud's data-AI convergence platform, supports serverless data lakes, warehouses, databases, and AI inferences. Unified storage and metadata enable these platforms to access and share the same copy of data.
Huawei Cloud's deterministic operations system has been adopted by over 300 global customers, maintaining a strong security record with zero intrusions and zero data breaches. The Landing Zone and FinOps solutions have facilitated lean governance for 600 enterprises.
Another highlight in the speech was the new version of the PRIME framework, which integrates the above-mentioned technological innovations to help customers embrace AI and expedite AI application implementation.
In conclusion, Mr. Gao called for collective action to embrace AI, leap to cloud, and amplify excellence.
At the summit, leading global enterprises shared their success stories in partnering with Huawei Cloud to achieve business excellence.
DeFacto, a renowned fashion brand in Türkiye, operates over 500 stores and a robust online-offline sales platform across more than 100 countries, serving over 15 million members globally.
