China is a key market for Sembcorp. Since 2012, the company has expanded its renewable energy portfolio across 16 provincial regions to support China's carbon neutrality goals.
Sembcorp optimizes its asset management through its proprietary digital platform, NetZeroOS, which enables efficient management, optimization, and scaling of renewable energy assets. Beyond meeting Sembcorp’s needs, NetZeroOS is also available to other renewable energy companies in China, enhancing efficiency and cost optimization in the industry.
Open Design & Standards
NetZeroOS for Sembcorp China operations was upgraded with new tools and optimized by Huawei Cloud. The enhanced platform leveraged IoTEdge/IoTDA to achieve secure real-time data streaming from edge sites to the cloud with standard protocols, such as IEC, MQTT and HTTPS.
Data tools from Huawei, such as DLI and DataArts Studio, were used to manage both real-time and batch processing of enormous volumes of data. The DWS architecture featuring decoupled storage and compute allowed the NetZeroOS platform to access tremendous volumes of data without loss of performance, and at optimal cost.
Huawei Cloud’s native security services, such as CFW, HSS and SecMaster helped govern and secure the NetZeroOS platform (China instance), and ensure the platform's compliance with MLPS Level 2 (in China).
