Why Huawei Cloud?
SDEC encountered the following challenges when developing SDeCLOUD:
1. They needed a cloud provider with proven success in smart city and digital transformation projects for enterprises, and with professional consulting and support.
2. They wanted a hybrid cloud solution that would keep data within the state while providing the same public cloud experience with a wider range of cloud services, such as AI, big data, database, data lake, and general SaaS systems such as ERP and office automation.
3. The cloud provider needed to have local public cloud nodes, data centers with high performance and low latency, and local integration experience.
4. The cloud provider also needed to have a local service team to support managed services so SDEC could focus on upper-layer services and customer development.
Solutions
- Huawei Cloud Stack offers infrastructure services:
Such as ECS, EVS, OBS, VPN, DC, VPC, VPCEP, ELB, EIP, IMS, CBR, CCE, RDS for MySQL, IAM-IDP, CES, and AOM, multi-cloud container management, bare metal containers, big data, AI, and PaaS services (such as ServiceStage and BCS).
- Huawei Cloud works with global and regional partners to provide scenario-specific smart city solutions built on Huawei Cloud Stack. For example:
- 1. Smart data lake and data convergence in business operation management (BOM) for smart grids, finance, and smart cities;
- 2. Large-scale distributed GaussDB databases for telecom, finance, electricity, and services;
- 3. ModelArts, a one-stop AI development platform, for finance, public security, education, healthcare, and mining. ModelArts unifies management of distributed parallel training model assets while offering auto learning (ExeML) and no-code customization of AI models. Training and inference tasks run solely on Huawei Cloud Stack or on the public cloud at the same time.
