Why HUAWEI CLOUD?
Huawei Cloud was chosen as the preferred partner of APEX for the following reasons:
• Similar to numerous regulated financial institutions, APEX has been grappling with the substantial expenses associated with data center rental and the labor-intensive maintenance and operation of its IT infrastructure. Furthermore, the costs related to hardware depreciation and replacement have had an adverse impact on revenue and added to the operational burden of the IT team.
• In terms of scalability, the traditional data center and hardware at APEX have limitations that hinder the ability to scale up computing resources quickly and responsively during peak trading periods. As a result, there is a shortage of computing resources when they are most needed, necessitating the commitment of additional hardware to support potential spikes in trading activities.
• Overall, the high cost, low efficiency, lack of responsive scaling and efficient monitoring on IT infrastructure are not the challenges to APEX, but rather a common challenge for all financial institutions which are using on-premise hardware.
Solutions
The dedicated host (DeH) of Huawei Cloud is used to meet the User Datagram Protocol(UDP) high Performance broadcast capability where broadcast is implemented on the entire large Layer 2 network. The core transaction system used dedicated DeH physical servers to meet computing isolation and performance requirements, which meet the requirements of security compliance.
